With recent headlines about vaccines and coverage, we want to reaffirm our commitment: we will continue to cover these preventive vaccines at no cost to our members. Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska health plans generally cover preventive vaccinations as a standard part of preventive care benefits.

Our health plans include Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended preventive vaccines without cost sharing, in line with federal requirements as part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Inflation Reduction Act. Members should consult with their healthcare providers when making decisions about vaccinations.
