More ways to save: Price Assure pharmacy program can help lower costs in 2027

Premera is adding Price Assure, a new ancillary pharmacy product, in 2027 that supports member affordability. This addition to the pharmacy benefit will help reduce member costs without adding unnecessary complexity.

Price Assure

Price Assure is a discount card program powered by Express Scripts and GoodRx. Price Assure embeds discount card pricing directly into the pharmacy benefit, helping eligible members access the lowest available price for non-specialty generic drugs automatically at the point of sale. There’s no separate card to manage and no extra step for members, which creates a simpler experience while supporting affordability for both members and groups.

For employers, Price Assure offers another built-in savings feature that improves affordability without adding administrative burden. The savings are integrated into the plan experience so it supports a stronger overall pharmacy offering.

Price Assure will be included with all fully insured and OptiFlex groups beginning January 1, 2027.

Self-funded groups will continue to have access to Right Price.
