Behavioral Health Solution for Children Discontinued for 2025

Brightline, the vendor that supports the Premera Behavioral Health Solution for Children, recently announced that it will drastically change its business model. These changes resulted in a significant reduction in service availability.

As a result, the Behavioral Health Solution for Children with Brightline will end on December 31, 2024, and will be removed entirely for all Alaska groups. Groups will receive an updated rate exhibit and new contract or amendment, dependent on their renewal date to reflect the removal of Brightline under separate cover.

Brightline will no longer support member engagement and marketing outreach to eligible members.

Member communication

Premera is actively reaching out to members who used the Brightline platform. These members will receive a letter providing more information on the discontinuation of Brightline services, including:

• Key dates including last day of provided care and access to tools
• How to access medical records from Brightline
• How to find a new mental health provider
