Spokane Obstetrics and Gynecology Contract Termination
Spokane Obstetrics and Gynecology has notified Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska of its decision to terminate their provider contract. The contract ends on September 15, 2025. That date marks the conclusion of the current contract period.
Premera is working diligently to renegotiate these contracts, which include all lines of business, including commercial and individual. These negotiations do not impact Premera members with Medicare Supplement coverage.
These contracts include the following providers and facilities:
- Spokane OB/GYN Downtown Spokane (Sacred Heart Doctors Building)
- Spokane OB/GYN Spokane Valley (Valley Mission Professional Building)
- All providers, including specialists, and other healthcare professionals practicing at Spokane OB/GYN
Termination notices can be unsettling. Members currently receiving treatment for a covered series, complex, or chronic medical condition (including pregnancy or a scheduled nonelective surgery), may be able to continue their care with those providers or facilities at the current in-network benefit level for a specific time period. If you have concerns, contact customer service.
These continue to be unique times. What hasn’t changed is Premera’s advocacy for, and focus on, our customers. We’re working hard on their behalf to ensure we keep healthcare costs reasonable, quality high, and access as broad as possible. That way, our fellow Northwest employers can continue to invest in their businesses, their employees, and the community.
